On July 20, PSY posted on his official social media account, “This is an announcement about PSY’s concert in Busan today. While the weather report says that the typhoon will settle down by the afternoon, the Busan area is currently experiencing a lot of rain and warnings of strong winds. We have judged that it will be difficult to hold the concert today as planned for safety reasons.”
He continued, “I do not know if I will be able to satisfy all the 23,000 people who bought tickets in advance. Even if it is lacking in some way, this is what I have decided is the best plan forward.” He then revealed that the concert will now be moved to July 21 and people who cannot attend on the new date will receive a full refund if they return their tickets.
Typhoon Danas began in the Philippine Sea earlier this week and hit the Philippines and Taiwan with heavy rain before moving to Jeju Island and the southern provinces of South Korea.
On July 20,Ailee alerted fans with a notice. She wrote, “Hello everyone. The typhoon has died out but the impact of the typhoon is continuing in Busan, so I’ve decided to regretfully cancel this ‘Shaking Movement’ in Busan. I’ll cherish the precious hearts of those of you wanted to make your way to see me and I’ll repay you in a better way. From Ailee.”
