On July 9, a representative of the drama industry reported: “Yoo Yeon Seok will participate as one of the main roles of tvN's new drama called Doctor Playbook.” In response , the actor's management company is King Kong by Starship: "Yoo Yeon Seok received an offer to appear in Doctor Playbook and is in the process of final negotiation."

Reportedly, Doctor Playbook is a humanistic medical film that tells the stories of doctors and patients in the emergency room. The film marks the reuniting of director Shin Won Ho and screenwriter Lee Woo Jung, the owner of the TV series of cult post Reply. If you accept your participation, this will be the next project Yoo Yeon Seok works with director Shin Won Ho after Reply 1994 in 2013.
