[K-Drama]: ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo Shares What He Thinks About Being Praised For Good Looks

On July 17, MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” held a press conference.

 

ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, who plays a prince named Lee Rim in the drama, was asked whether he felt pressure about the nickname “face genius,” which refers to his stunning good looks.

 

Cha Eun Woo responded, “It does feel good, but I actually think that each person has their own unique individuality. When I was growing up, my mom would tell me, ‘You’re not that good-looking’ and ‘Don’t be vain.’ I think that everyone has their own taste when it comes to good looks.”

He added, “There’s an extrinsic side [to my character], but I hope that viewers will be able to see how Lee Rim grows and changes as a person too.”

 

“Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” is a drama about the romance between an aspiring palace historian who dreams of an equal society (Shin Se Kyung) and a lonely prince who lives a secret life as popular romance novelist (Cha Eun Woo).

 

The drama premieres on July 17 at 8:55 p.m
