Get ready for an uncomfortable encounter on the next episode of “Love Next Door”!

“Love Next Door” is a new tvN romantic comedy by the director and writer of the hit drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.” Jung So Min stars as Bae Seok Ryu, a woman who tries to reboot her troubled life after it goes awry. Jung Hae In plays her mom’s friend’s son Choi Seung Hyo, whom she considers a dark and embarrassing chapter in her life.

On the previous episode of “Love Next Door,” Bae Seok Ryu finally learned that Choi Seung Hyo had been secretly harboring feelings for her since their grade school days.

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, the two childhood friends accidentally run into each other while meeting up with their respective exes at the same restaurant. Choi Seung Hyo and his ex-girlfriend Jang Tae Hee (Seo Ji Hye) sit at one table, while Bae Seok Ryu and her ex-fiancé Song Hyun Joon (Han Jun Woo) awkwardly sit at a different table nearby.

Notably, both Choi Seung Hyo and Bae Seok Ryu seem more focused on what’s happening at the table next to them than talking to the ex sitting in front of them. Amidst the obvious tension between the two friends, it remains to be seen how Jang Tae Hee and Song Hyun Joon will react to this unfortunate run-in.

The “Love Next Door” production team commented, “There will be a precarious tension between the four characters, who are entangled through their past regrets and current feelings. Please stay tuned to find out if Choi Seung Hyo and Bae Seok Ryu’s relationship will change amidst this complicated and confusing situation, along with whether Choi Seung Hyo will be able to end his longtime unrequited love.”
