Jun So Min and Weki Meki’s Kim Doyeon have been confirmed to star in the film “18 Youth” (working title)!
On August 10, the production company 26 Company shared photos from the upcoming film’s script reading and revealed that they kicked off filming at a school in Cheongju on August 5.
Based on a novel, “18 Youth” is a film depicting the meeting of Hee Joo, a high school teacher who is popular amongst students for her unconventional educational perspective but scorned by fellow teachers, and Soon Jung, an 18-year-old high school student who finds her eccentric homeroom teacher annoying.
Jun So Min, who is active in various fields including films, dramas, and variety shows, takes on the role of high school teacher Hee Joo. The actress shared, “I could relate to Hee Joo, who tries to communicate with her students in her own way. I will try my best to portray the quirky yet charming friend-like teacher, so please look forward to it.”
Kim Doyeon, who has established herself as an acting idol, plays the role of Soon Jung. Kim Doyeon remarked, “I’m nervous and excited because this is my first film. I’ll try my best to show a new side of me, so please show lots of support.”
