On January 23, the production team revealed that “On the Border” will return on February 16 with an episode on the Korean peninsula for the 100th anniversary of the Korean Provisional Government. The episode features Jun Hyun Moo, Moon Geun Young, Yoo Byung Jae, Sul Min Suk, and Daniel Lindemann, who will be going on a journey to find the “border” of the Korean Peninsula.
“On the Border” received a lot of love last season from March to September starting with the first episode exploring the U.S. and Mexico border, followed by episodes in France and Germany, Jordan, Israel, and Palestine, Spain, United Kingdom, Morocco, and Portugal, and Italy and Slovenia. After the conclusion of “On the Border,” the broadcast hasn’t stopped receiving requests for a new season.
The upcoming season of “On the Border” is expected to reveal the background story on the development of the borders surrounding the current Republic of Korea as well as the recent stories of preparing for a new generation of peace.
With MC Jun Hyun Moo, who has participated in many projects such as “I Live Alone,” trusted-storyteller Sul Min Suk, and talented actress Moon Geun Young, the cast of “On the Border” is expected to convey the modern history of the Korean Peninsula in a fun and interesting manner. In particular, Sul Min Suk is expected to skillfully pass on Korea’s history to the viewers. Furthermore, Daniel Lindemann from the first season’s episode on Germany, as well as Yoo Byung Jae, who is an unexpected brainy character, are expected to complete the strong lineup by making the journey even more interesting.
After the first filming, the production team of “On the Border” said, “The chemistry between Jun Hyun Moo, Sul Min Suk, and Moon Geun Young is amazing. Please look forward to it.” They added, “Moon Geun Young was especially attention-catching as she had a lot of background history knowledge from starring in a lot of historical projects. New sides of the members will also be fun to watch. Please show a lot of interest.”
“On the Border” will return on February 16 at 6:25 p.m. KST after the conclusion of “Under 19.”
