JTBC’s New School Violence Drama “Beautiful World” Sees Ratings Spike For 2nd Episode

Just two episodes into its run, JTBC’s “Beautiful World” is already gaining steam!
“Beautiful World” is a new drama about a young boy named Park Sun Ho (played by Nam Da Reum) who becomes the victim of school violence. Following a tragic incident at school, Park Sun Ho’s family ends up fighting for justice while he lies on the brink of death. The boy’s younger sister Park Soo Ho (played by Kim Hwan Hee), who attends the same middle school, sets out to uncover the truth behind the violent attack on her brother.
According to Nielsen Korea, “Beautiful World” enjoyed a significant rise in viewership ratings for its second episode on April 6. The broadcast scored average ratings of 2.926 percent nationwide (and 3.1 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area), marking a substantial increase from its premiere the night before.
Meanwhile, SBS’s hit drama “The Fiery Priest” continued to dominate its time slot. The April 6 broadcast scored average viewership ratings of 17.7 percent and 19.4 percent nationwide for its two parts, with a peak of 23.6 percent. The drama performed even better in the Seoul metropolitan area, where it scored average ratings of 19.9 percent and 21.6 percent for the night.
MBC’s “Love in Sadness,” which airs during the same time slot as “The Fiery Priest,” scored average nationwide ratings of 8.3 percent and 8.5 percent for the evening.
