The upcoming youth movie “Victory” has shared a sneak peek of Jo Aram’s character!
Directed by Park Beom Soo, “Victory” is a youth film starring Hyeri, Park Se Wan, Lee Jung Ha, Jo Aram, and more. The film depicts the story of Geoje Commercial High School’s cheerleading team Millennium Girls, where eight team members with unique personalities are gathered. Set in the backdrop of 1999, “Victory” follows the passionate story of best friends Pil Seon (Hyeri) and Mi Na (Park Se Wan) as they put together a cheerleading team in order to be able to dance.
Jo Aram plays Se Hyun, a high school student who transfers from Seoul to Geoje because her brother Dong Hyun (Lee Chan Hyung) joins a local soccer team. Se Hyun was a cheerleader in Seoul. At her new school, she is persuaded by Pil Seon and Mi Na to start a cheerleading club since they need a dance practice room. Se Hyun begins teaching cheerleading to the Millennium Girls. Though she sometimes finds their lively behavior unfamiliar, her strong beliefs help her guide the team, making her the steady anchor of the cheerleading club.
In the newly released stills, Jo Aram exudes fresh energy with neatly styled hair adorned by a large ribbon, poised to uplift the audience with her vibrant performance. She effortlessly embodies the cheerleading uniform and, as the leader, instructs the Millennium Girls, amplifying excitement for Jo Aram’s expertise in this new role.
Jo Aram explained why she joined the production, stating, “I was curious about how this enjoyable and heartfelt script would come to life on screen.” She continued, “Since Se Hyun is adept at cheerleading, I practiced extensively on my own. I concentrated on eye movements, hand gestures, and precise footwork.”
Director Park Beom Soo praised, “Se Hyun’s character demanded someone who can use their body effectively and, most importantly, display unwavering strength when interacting with characters like Pil Seon and Mi Na. In that respect, I believe actress Jo Aram fits the role of Se Hyun perfectly.”
“Victory” is set to premiere on August 14. Stay tuned!
