JTBC’s upcoming weekend drama “Romance in the House” has released its main poster!

Penned by Kim Young Yoon of “My Secret Romance” and directed by Kim Da Ye of “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty,” “Romance in the House” is a family drama that tells the story of Byun Moo Jin (Ji Jin Hee), who lost all his money due to continued business failures and was ostracized from his family 11 years ago. The remaining family members’ lives take a turn as he reappears in front of them after obtaining a sudden fortune.

The newly released poster, intriguingly rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise, vividly captures the familial love triangle. Byun Moo Jin and his daughter Byun Mi Rae (Son Naeun) are depicted in a tense standoff over their ex-wife and mother Geum Ae Yeon (Kim Ji Soo), each gripping Ae Yeon’s arm tightly. Meanwhile, Ae Yeon’s peaceful smile raises curiosity about her inner thoughts amidst the family’s chaotic dynamics.

Moo Jin’s efforts to win back Ae Yeon include buying a building where she and Mi Rae live, even moving into the unit right upstairs from their home. However, Mi Rae, having witnessed her mother’s struggles to rebuild their lives after Moo Jin’s past mistakes, is determined to protect Ae Yeon from him. She is resolute in maintaining their hard-earned peace and demonstrating to Moo Jin that they can be happy and strong on their own.

The production team commented, “We suggest you watch ‘Romance in the House’ for a fresh take on the typical love triangle narrative where two men are fighting for one woman.” They added, “Please stay tuned to this dopamine-inducing family drama and find out whether the family will be reunited, just as Moo Jin hopes, or if they will fail to do so, just as Mi Rae hopes.”

“Romance in the House” is set to premiere on August 10 at 10:30 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Miss Night and Day.”
