Upcoming drama “The Worst of Evil” has shared brand-new stills of its three leads!
Set in the 1990s, “The Worst of Evil” is a crime-action drama about an investigation launched to take down a major cartel based in Gangnam that is responsible for illegal drug trade between Korea, Japan, and China.
Ji Chang Wook will star in the upcoming series as Park Joon Mo, a detective who undertakes the dangerous mission of going undercover to infiltrate the Gangnam Alliance and earn the trust of mob boss Jung Ki Chul, played by Wi Ha Joon. Jung Ki Chul is the ruthless leader of the Gangnam Alliance who will stop at nothing to achieve success. Their paths collide on the frontlines of a high-stakes operation, setting the stage for a heated showdown.
Im Se Mi will play Yoo Eui Jung, an elite narcotics officer who is both Park Joon Mo’s wife and Jung Ki Chul’s first love. Not only does she stand between the drama’s two leads as an emotional link, but she is also an ace police officer taking part in the investigation.
Wi Ha Joon commented, “There are a lot of spectacular, rough, and flashy action scenes but if you focus on the inner details, subtle performances, and tension in the relationships between the characters, you’ll be able to see the depth [of the drama].”
Im Se Mi shared, “There’s a lot that the characters want to protect in their relationships. Please pay attention to the backstories, the relationships, and the people in the drama.”
“The Worst of Evil” will premiere on September 27.
