SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Jun have posed together for Elle Korea!
Despite being active in the same group for eight years now, both Jeonghan and Jun shared their fascination about this photo shoot being the first time the two starred in one pictorial together. “It is the first time that only the two of us shot together. It was a concept that allow us to show our chemistry together, so we had fun.”
Asked about SEVENTEEN’s upcoming return with their 10th mini album “FML,” Jeonghan expressed his confidence in the album by saying, “Regardless of the results, it’s an album that makes us proud — that’s in itself already makes it a satisfactory album that we’re pleased with.” Jun added, “In terms of the performance, it is more intense than any choreography in SEVENTEEN’s history. It’s to the point that it’s hard to carry on dancing from beginning to end.”
Jeonghan further shared his thoughts when he first heard that their upcoming album would be titled “FML.” “I thought, ‘SEVENTEEN has come a long way that now we’re able to show even this to the public.’ It feels good because it felt like the spectrum that the public can accept about us has gotten a little wider.” Jun continued, “[The album’s title] can be interpreted in various meanings as well. Those are the stories that [SEVENTEEN] want to communicate.”
When asked if there’s anything that they had paid special attention to during the preparation process, Jeonghan hinted, “I made a new attempt this time. At first, I was worried because I struggled with it a bit, but I feel a little relieved and confident now because the members said it fit me well when they watched the music video.” Similarly, Jun also confessed that his part was not easy, adding, “It’s a song that can properly show the vibe that I, relatively, haven’t really shown til now. The members also strongly made up their minds and worked very hard this time.”
SEVENTEEN, who debuted in May 2015, is set to celebrate their eighth anniversary next month. On the topic, Jun remarked, “We’ve always wanted to become an idol that will remain in history for a long time, but now, together for nine years, the 13 members have been truly writing history. I think CARATs [SEVENTEEN’s fanclub] are also making history together with us. We will work hard.” Jeonghan finally ended the interview by sharing one anecdote about the group’s teamwork, “Not long ago, we promised each other that we’ll meet up together at least once a month to eat. Because after all, only when we have at least such time [together] can we proudly say that our relationships are truly like real family and friends.”
The full feature with Jeonghan and Jun will be available in Elle Korea’s April issue!
SEVENTEEN will be making their return with “FML” on April 24 at 6 p.m. KST.
