IU’s Netflix Original Series “Persona” Postpones Premiere In Light Of Gangwon Province Fire

The new Netflix original series “Persona” has delayed its premiere.
On April 5, Netflix stated, “There has been a change to the launch date of the Netflix original series ‘Persona,’ which is led by IU and was originally scheduled to premiere today.”
They explained, “We have made the decision to delay the release out of respect to the serious situation of the state of emergency due to the forest fires on the eastern coast of Korea.” Netflix stated that they will announce the new premiere date at a later time.
At approximately 7:17 p.m. KST on April 4, a fire began around Ilsung Resort in Goseong County and spread to downtown Sokcho. A state of emergency was issued on April 5 at 9 a.m. KST.
“Persona” is a short film project that will tell four different stories by four different directors through one actress, IU. The directors are Im Pil Sung, Lee Kyung Mi, Kim Jong Kwan, and Jeon Go Woon.
