Our favorite couples are getting closer on ENA’s “Summer Strike”!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Summer Strike” is a romance drama about people who leave behind their busy lives in the city in order to move to a small town and do nothing. ZE:A’s Im Siwan stars as Ahn Dae Bum, a shy math genius who is now living a quiet life as a village librarian, while AOA‘s Seolhyun plays Lee Yeo Reum, a burned-out young professional who quits her job and ventures to an unfamiliar village in order to find herself.
Previously on “Summer Strike,” Yeo Reum learned that Dae Bum had lost his mother and older sister at the very billiard hall where she was living, and her heart ached with guilt after seeing him struggling with his trauma. Yeo Reum also became conflicted when Ji Young (Park Ye Young) told her that Dae Bum needed to make use of his genius and seize an opportunity in Seoul. Although she wanted to keep him with her in Angok, Yeo Reum also wanted Dae Bum to live happily and be free of the past, making her unsure of what to do.
In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Yeo Reum, Dae Bum, Bom (Shin Eun Soo), and Jae Hoon (Bang Jae Min) all take a healing trip together. The four characters have fun together at a creek, where Jae Hoon serenades everyone with his ukulele and the others happily sing along.
At another point during their trip, Yeo Reum and Dae Bum share a serious conversation alone at night. Yeo Reum musters up the courage to say something to Dae Bum, and he listens to her with a fond, attentive gaze.
The producers of “Summer Strike” teased, “While on vacation, Yeo Reum and Dae Bum will open up to one another and share a deep conversation. Please keep an eye on what kind of reply Dae Bum will give the remorseful Yeo Reum, as well as how Yeo Reum expresses her sincere feelings for Dae Bum.”
They went on to add, “Not only Yeo Reum and Dae Bum, but also Bom and Jae Hoon will share their hearts with one another, and their feelings will grow deeper. Please show lots of interest in these four youths’ story, which will make viewers’ hearts both flutter and ache.”
The next episode of “Summer Strike” airs on December 13 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
