“Road to Boston” has hit the 1 million mark at the Korean box office!
On November 8, the Korean Film Council announced that as of 10 a.m. KST that day, “Road to Boston” had recorded a total of 1,002,714 moviegoers.
“Road to Boston”—which is the 11th Korean film released in 2023 to surpass 1 million moviegoers—first hit theaters on September 27, meaning that it took just 42 days to reach the milestone.
The film, which is based on the true story of Korean athletes who participated in the 1947 Boston International Marathon, stars Im Siwan and Ha Jung Woo as marathon runners in a Korea that has just been liberated from colonial rule.
