KBS 2TV;s upcoming historical drama “Moonshine” shared a glimpse of Hyeri and Byun Woo Seok’s first encounter!

Set during the period of the Joseon era when prohibition laws were at their strongest, “Moonshine” revolves around the romance between Kang Ro Seo (Hyeri), a struggling aristocrat who starts illegally making alcohol in order to support her family, and Nam Young (Yoo Seung Ho), Joseon’s greatest inspector who is known for living a very principled life.

Byun Woo Seok plays Lee Pyo, who is tall, good-looking, and talented at both martial and fine arts, but has no taste for books or studying. He is a crown prince who shirks his duties, and being an alcoholic, frequently sneaks out of the palace to drink illegally.

The photos show the unlikely meeting between Kang Ro Seo and Lee Pyo. The two are in a dim pub, and they are sitting across from each other with a table between them. Unlike Kang Ro Seo, who is in a shabby dress, Lee Pyo shines in his colorful silk robes. She become shocked by his fancy attire, but most of all, she’s stunned by how he drinks without hesitation in front of her. Lee Pyo stares at Kang Ro Seo with an odd expression, making viewers curious about their future relationship.

“Moonshine” will premiere on December 20 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
