Hwang Jung Eum Files For Divorce For Second Time Following Mediation In 2021

Hwang Jung Eum has made the decision to end her marriage.

On February 22, Hwang Jung Eum’s agency Y1 Entertainment released an official statement announcing the actress’s intention to get divorced.

"This is actress Hwang Jung Eum’s agency Y1 Entertainment.

After much deliberation, Hwang Jung Eum decided that it is no longer possible to maintain her marriage and is in the process of filing for divorce.

Please understand that details such as the reason for divorce cannot be disclosed as it is a private matter.

In addition, we earnestly ask you to refrain from creating speculative rumors and provocative reports that will damage the reputation of the actress and her children."

Hwang Jung Eum married Lee Young Don, a businessman and former professional golfer, in 2016, and they welcomed their first son in August 2017. She filed for divorce in September 2020, but the couple resolved their differences during mediation and reunited in July 2021. The following year, they gave birth to their second son.

Hwang Jung Eum most recently starred in the drama “The Escape of the Seven” and is currently preparing for the second season “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection.”
