“Killing Romance” has dropped new stills of Honey Lee!

Helmed by “How to Use Guys With Secret Tips” director Lee Won Suk and penned by “The Beauty Inside” writer Park Jeong Ye, the upcoming comedy movie “Killing Romance” tells a story about a top celebrity who suddenly announces her retirement from the entertainment industry and her fateful encounter with a chaebol from a faraway island. However, after meeting a devoted fan (Gong Myung), together they join hands to plot the most spectacular operation for her comeback. Just like the title suggests, the film promises to bring zero romance and maximum laughter.

Honey Lee will star as Yeo Rae, a top star who becomes the laughingstock of the public due to her poor acting and eventually decides to retire. She leaves for an island in the South Pacific, and there, she falls in love with chaebol Jonathan Na (Lee Sun Gyun), who made his fortune on his own. However, she finds herself gradually changing due to Jonathan’s mad obsession throughout her married life.

The newly released stills, which are assumed to be the scenes from a film and an advertisement that Yeo Rae is participating in, capture the unique atmosphere and charm of Honey Lee who transforms into Yeo Rae.

Director Lee Won Suk remarked, “The keyword for the role of Yeo Rae in ‘Killing Romance’ is beauty. I thought Honey Lee is a suitable actress who could be in charge of that beauty. I believed that she would perfectly express the joys and sorrows of ‘Killing Romance’ as she is an actress equipped with a wide [acting] spectrum that spans across drama and comedy.”
