MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”) will not be airing next week.
On March 12, MBC officially announced that the popular variety show would be going on a one-week hiatus due to safety concerns related to COVID-19.
Instead of airing a new episode as usual on March 18, “Home Alone” will be airing a special highlights broadcast dedicated to some of its most memorable recent guests, as well as the newer additions to its cast.
“We have always done everything we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while filming our show,” stated the “Home Alone” production staff. “Amidst the recent surge in the spread [of COVID-19], we decided to cancel the broadcast as a precautionary measure in consideration of the safety of our entire cast and crew.”
“In our future shoots, we will continue to make efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while strictly adhering to the guidelines of government health authorities,” continued the production staff. “We sincerely hope that COVID-19 will quiet down as soon as possible.”
“Home Alone” will resume airing as scheduled on March 25.
