Highlight’s Lee Gikwang To Step Down As Host Of Radio Show

Lee Gikwang will no longer be the host of his radio show.

On April 3, Lee Gikwang’s agency Around Us Entertainment announced, “Lee Gikwang will step down from his position as DJ of KBS Cool FM ‘Music Plaza’ and have his last broadcast on April 16. We deeply express our gratitude to listeners and fans who have sent great love to ‘HaetD’ [Lee Gikwang’s nickname on the show].”

After much consideration, Lee Gikwang made the decision to step down from the show due to his busy schedule with his solo album coming out soon as well as other acting and variety show projects.

Lee Gikwang first became the DJ of KBS Cool FM’s “Music Plaza” in March last year and held the position for more than a year. He has since earned the nickname “HaetD,” an abbreviation from the words “haetsal” (sunlight in Korean) and “DJ” for his sunshine-like energy.

Lee Gikwang’s final broadcast on April 16 will be a visible radio.
