Hello Venus’s Lime (Chae Joo Hwa) is becoming a mother!

On May 10, Lime personally announced on Instagram that she was expecting her first child. The idol-turned-actress, who got married last year, first debuted as a member of Hello Venus in 2012. Following the group’s disbandment in 2019, she transitioned to promoting as an actress under the name Chae Joo Hwa.

Lime’s full announcement is as follows:

"Hello, everyone.
Today, on the 11th anniversary of our debut!!
I’m writing this message to share some happy news.

Finally, a new life has found its way to me..
You don’t know how badly I’ve been wanting to tell you this..
I’m already in my fifth month as a mom-to-be of [a child born in] the year of the rabbit!

Although the word “mom” still feels unfamiliar, new, and surprising to me, I’m trying to wait calmly with a happy heart so that a healthy baby angel can be born.
