Are Han Ji Hyun’s feelings towards Kim Hyun Jin changing in “Cheer Up”?
“Cheer Up” is a campus mystery rom-com about a college cheer squad whose glory days are long gone and is now on the verge of falling apart. Han Ji Hyun stars as Do Hae Yi, a rookie member of Yonhee University’s cheer squad Theia, who has a cheerful personality despite facing difficult circumstances at home. Bae In Hyuk stars as Theia’s oft-misunderstood captain Park Jung Woo, who is a firm stickler for the rules but is also a romantic at heart, while Kim Hyun Jin plays fellow rookie Jin Seon Ho, a rich and handsome student who has always walked the elite path in life.
Previously on “Cheer Up,” Do Hae Yi became more and more drawn to Park Jung Woo, while Jin Seon Ho was similarly unable to control his growing feelings for Do Hae Yi. Just when Do Hae Yi was about to confess her feelings for Park Jung Woo, Jin Seon Ho stepped in and boldly asked, “Can’t you look at me instead of the captain for once?”
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Do Hae Yi and Jin Seon Ho get closer as they spend an emotional moment alone together.
Jin Seon Ho breaks down crying as he bares his heart in front of Do Hae Yi, who tenderly caresses his face as she comforts him—and her gaze as she looks at him seems somewhat changed from before, as if she is now starting to see him in a different light.
The producers of “Cheer Up” teased, “The chaotic and confusing love triangle in which Do Hae Yi, Park Jung Woo, and Jin Seon Ho find themselves entangled in the story will unfold in an even more exciting way.”
“In particular, Jin Seon Ho’s tears will bring about a change in Do Hae Yi and Jin Seon Ho’s feelings in this episode,” they continued, “so please look forward to it.”
The next episode of “Cheer Up” airs on October 25 at 10 p.m. KST.
