Gong Jiho Confirmed To Join Park Hyung Sik And Heo Joon Ho In New Drama

Former Oh My Girl member Gong Jiho has been confirmed to join the cast of SBS’s new drama “Treasure Island” (literal translation)!

On September 30, Gong Jiho’s agency P& Studio revealed that the actress will star in the upcoming drama “Treasure Island” alongside Park Hyung Sik and Heo Joon Ho.

“Treasure Island,” which is slated to air in 2025, will tell the story of a man who manages to hack a political slush fund account worth 2 trillion won (approximately $1.5 billion) and the man who kills him without knowing he’s been hacked—thus accidentally losing the entire 2 trillion won. The drama will be penned by “Money Flower” writer Lee Myung Hee and helmed by “Military Prosecutor Doberman” director Jin Chang Gyu.

Gong Jiho debuted in 2015 as a member of the girl group Oh My Girl, which released various hit songs. Following her departure from the group, she signed an exclusive contract with P& Studio in August 2022 and announced her new start as an actress.
