Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Confirmed To Return As MC For “Queendom” Spin-Off Show “Queendom Puzzle”

 

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon is returning to host the “Queendom” spin-off series “Queendom Puzzle”!

On April 24, Mnet’s “Queendom Puzzle” confirmed, “‘Queendom Puzzle’ will premiere in June. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon will be starring as the MC.”

Last year, Taeyeon also starred on Mnet’s “Queendom 2” as the MC and “Grand Master,” sharing her advice on performances and showcasing her professional side as an artist. Taeyeon shared, “It is an honor to take part in ‘Queendom Puzzle’ following ‘Queendom 2.’ My shoulders feel heavy [from the burden], but I feel a sense of responsibility.” She continued, “I am already looking forward to what kind of legendary performances will be born this time around.”

The production team shared, “Not only is Taeyeon [a member] of Girls’ Generation, receiving love from all over the world, she is also an artist who participated in unit and project groups with unique colors such as Girls’ Generation-TTS and GOT the beat. We think that she is the MC most suited for ‘Queendom Puzzle,’ which will give brith to a new global project group by combining various girl group members.”

“Queendom Puzzle” is a spin-off variety show that will form a powerful global project girl group by taking members from currently promoting girl groups as well as female artists and putting them together like a puzzle. Previously, it was reported that former IZ*ONE members Yabuki Nako and Honda Hitomi, Lovelyz‘s Kei, MOMOLAND‘s JooE, and LABOUM‘s Haein will be joining the program. In response to the reports, Mnet stated that it is difficult to confirm the casting lineup at the current time.

“Queendom Puzzle” will premiere in June.
