Girl’s Day’s Hyeri In Talks For New Mystery Thriller GL Drama

Girl’s Day’s Hyeri may star in the new GL (Girls’ Love) drama “Friendly Rivalry” (literal title)!

On February 6, STARNEWS reported that Hyeri will star as the female lead in TVING’s original series “Friendly Rivalry.”

In response to the report, Hyeri’s agency Creative Group ING shared, “Hyeri is positively reviewing the offer to star in ‘Friendly Rivalry.’”

Based on a webtoon by writer Song Chae Yoon, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller GL drama that follows the bloody competition between Yoo Jae Yi, a seemingly perfect high school student, and Seul Gi, a naive transfer student, who become best friends and then gradually reveal their madness and desire to become No. 1 in school.

Hyeri was reportedly offered to play the role of Yoo Jae Yi. If Hyeri accepts her casting offer, she will make her return to the small screen for the first time since the MBC drama “May I Help You?” which ended in December 2022. The actress is currently also gearing up for the release of her film “Victory.”
