(G)I-DLE’s Minnie And Yuqi Temporarily Halt All Activities Due To Health Ahead Of Comeback

With just a few days left until their scheduled comeback, (G)I-DLE’s Minnie and Yuqi have temporarily halted all activities due to health concerns.

On the evening of January 26, Cube Entertainment announced that both Minnie and Yuqi had gone to the hospital that day after developing a high fever and experiencing “a sudden worsening of their health.” There, they were advised by a doctor to halt all activities and get sufficient rest before returning to their schedule.

As (G)I-DLE is scheduled to make a comeback with their second full-length album “2” on January 29, Cube Entertainment has stated that they will make another announcement regarding changes to their future schedule.

The agency’s full announcement is as follows:

"Hello.
This is Cube Entertainment.

We are making an announcement regarding (G)I-DLE’s Minnie and Yuqi’s health and future schedule.

This evening (the 26th), Minnie and Yuqi went to the hospital due to a sudden worsening of their health and a high fever, and in accordance with the doctor’s opinion, they have halted all of their scheduled activities and are currently getting plenty of rest and treatment.

We sincerely apologize for giving cause for concern to the fans who have been waiting for (G)I-DLE’s comeback.

We will consider the health of our artists our top priority in terms of proceeding with [(G)I-DLE’s] scheduled activities, and we will make another announcement regarding changes to their schedule.

Once again, we ask for fans’ deep understanding, and we will do our utmost for our artists’ health and recovery so that they can meet the fans in good health.
