KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama “Iron Family” has shared new stills Geum Sae Rok!

Penned by screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang of “Pasta,” “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also known as “Jealousy Incarnate”), and “Wok of Love,” “Iron Family” is a dark comedy about a family that has run a laundry business for three generations.

Geum Sae Rok stars as Lee Da Rim, the youngest daughter of Cheongnyeom Laundry family. Da Rim, who has had a rare illness since she was 14 that progressively narrows her vision, is a strong and determined character who rejects sympathy. While she holds onto hope of restoring her sight, she faces a significant challenge due to the high cost of surgery.

Newly released stills showcase Geum Sae Rok’s dramatic transformation, capturing viewers’ attention with a clear contrast between her past and present. Unlike her innocent look from eight years ago, she now sports a fresh, short haircut that highlights her charm. There is increasing curiosity about the reason for her sudden and striking change.

Da Rim’s dual nature, shown through her troubled expression and bright smile, is compelling. It sparks curiosity about what has caused her struggle despite her cheerful personality.

Deeply immersed in her role as Lee Da Rim, Geum Sae Rok is set to portray this complex character who, despite her illness, keeps her smile. There is also increasing interest in how her character will interact with Seo Kang Joo (Kim Jung Hyun) and what dramatic twists their relationship might bring.

The production team said, “Geum Sae Rok is dedicated to her role, even cutting her hair for the part. Her outstanding acting skills are expected to bring great depth to the drama.” They also added, “We hope viewers will pay close attention to Da Rim’s backstory and her interactions with the other characters.”

“Iron Family” is set to premiere in September as the follow-up to “Beauty and Mr. Romantic.” Stay tuned!
