FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid” Climbs Back Up Billboard’s Hot 100 + Becomes 2nd K-Pop Group Song To Chart For 25 Weeks

FIFTY FIFTY has just set an impressive new record on the Billboard Hot 100!

Six months ago, FIFTY FIFTY became the fastest K-pop artist ever to debut on Billboard’s Hot 100 (which ranks the most popular songs in the United States)—and their hit song “Cupid” eventually went on to become the highest-charting song by any female K-pop artist to date, reaching a peak of No. 17 in May.

To add to those achievements, “Cupid” has now become the first K-pop girl group song in history to spend 25 weeks on the Hot 100. For the week ending on September 16, the viral hit climbed back up to No. 45.

Even including male groups, “Cupid” is only the second song by a K-pop group ever to chart for 25 weeks on the Hot 100. The only other K-pop group song to achieve the feat to date is BTS’s “Dynamite,” which spent 32 weeks on the chart following its release in 2020.

“Cupid” also extended its run as the second longest-charting K-pop group song (once again, after “Dynamite”) on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States. In its 18th consecutive week on the chart, “Cupid” stayed strong at No. 20.

Additionally, “Cupid” climbed back up to No. 3 in its 26th week on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, while also holding relatively steady at No. 30 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 35 on the Global 200.

Congratulations to FIFTY FIFTY on their ongoing success on the U.S. charts!
