FIFTY FIFTY Becomes 1st K-Pop Group To Top Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. Chart With Debut Entry As “Cupid” Hits No. 1

FIFTY FIFTY has topped Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart for the very first time!

On May 22, Billboard announced the top 10 entries on their latest Global Excl. U.S. and Global 200 charts (dated May 27).

After weeks of consistently rising to new peaks on both charts, FIFTY FIFTY has scored their first leader on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart with their viral hit “Cupid” climbing to No. 1!

Both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts began in September 2020 and rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world. While the Global 200 includes data from around the world, the Global Excl. U.S. chart considers data from territories excluding the United States.

FIFTY FIFTY’s latest feat makes them the first K-pop group and first all-female group of any genre to reach No. 1 with their debut entry on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. Their climb from No. 2 to No. 1 comes even after a dip in both streams and sales, which were counted at 65.1 million (down 2 percent) and 2,000 (down 9 percent) outside of the United States during the week of May 12 to 18.

Notably, FIFTY FIFTY is now also only the third K-pop group to reach No. 1 on this chart following BTS and BLACKPINK.

“Cupid” has also achieved a new peak on Billboard’s Global 200 chart, climbing from No. 3 to No. 2 with 81.7 million streams and 4,000 sold around the world.

Congratulations to FIFTY FIFTY!
