FIFTY FIFTY has become the first female K-pop artist to break the top 10 of U.S. radio!
For the past two months, FIFTY FIFTY’s smash hit “Cupid” has been steadily rising on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States.
On June 11 local time, Billboard revealed that “Cupid” had climbed to a new peak of No. 10 in its ninth consecutive week on the chart, making FIFTY FIFTY the first female K-pop act ever to enter the top 10.
FIFTY FIFTY is also only the second K-pop group to enter the top 10 of the Pop Airplay chart (after BTS)—and “Cupid” is now the third highest-ranking K-pop group song in the history of the chart, following BTS’s “Dynamite” (which peaked at No. 5) and “Butter” (No. 7).
Meanwhile, over on Billboard’s Hot 100, “Cupid” extended its own record as the longest-charting K-pop girl group song in history. In its 16th consecutive week on the chart, “Cupid” held steady at No. 24.
“Cupid” also swept the No. 4 spot on both Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and the World Digital Song Sales chart in its 17th week, in addition to ranking No. 7 on the Global 200 and No. 31 on the Streaming Songs chart.
Finally, FIFTY FIFTY became the third K-pop girl group ever to spend 10 weeks on Billboard’s Artist 100, where they charted at No. 68 this week. The only other female K-pop artists to spend 10 weeks on the chart to date are TWICE and BLACKPINK.
Congratulations to FIFTY FIFTY!
