JTBC’s new drama “IDOL” unveiled new stills of EXID’s Hani in character!
The drama portrays the last story of “doomed idols” who need a single “success” in order to “disband.” It will tell a story about young people who confidently let go of their dreams as they grow through their failures and take courageous steps towards their new goals.
Hani will play the role of Kim Je Na, the leader of the six-year-old idol group Cotton Candy that is considered a failure. She is an all-rounder idol who struggles to keep the group alive, and she is excels at composing, producing, singing, and dancing. She’s so talented that she was able to include her songs in their debut album.
Cotton Candy is the first girl group of Starpeace Entertainment. They received the spotlight in the beginning but soon became neglected. Despite that fact, Kim Je Na works hard to promote Cotton Candy and doesn’t give up in order to seize an opportunity to rise to the top again.
The new stills share a glimpse of Kim Je Na’s character. In one photo, she smiles brightly at someone, hinting how she never loses her smile even in difficult situations. Other photos show her worrying side as she becomes absorbed in her work and brainstorms what to do.
The drama’s producers said, “Hani’s unique cheerfulness is showing perfect synergy with Kim Je Na’s character. Please look forward to Hani, who will create a charming Kim Je Na that catches everyone’s eyes.”
“IDOL” is set to premiere in November.
