KBS 2TV’s “School 2021” has shared a sneak peek of an intriguing encounter between Cho Yi Hyun and Chu Young Woo!

The long-awaited eighth installment in KBS’s popular “School” drama series, “School 2021” will tell the story of high school students choosing to follow their dreams instead of just preparing for college entrance exams. The coming-of-age tale will follow the growth, friendships, and romances of 18-year-olds facing an uncertain future.

WEi’s Kim Yo Han will star in the drama as Gong Ki Joon, a former Taekwondo athlete who must give up on his dream due to an injury, while Cho Yi Hyun will play his first love Jin Ji Won, who is determined to achieve her dream of becoming a carpenter. Chu Young Woo will play Jung Young Joo, a mysterious transfer student with a past connection to Gong Ki Joon, and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol will play Kang Seo Young, a high-achieving student who is on track to get into one of Korea’s top universities.

In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Jin Ji Won and Jung Young Joo unexpectedly run into each other late at night. Although Jin Ji Won seems to be seconds away from crying, Chu Young Woo awkwardly pretends not to notice that his classmate is struggling to hold back her tears.

After first meeting as classmates at their science high school, Jin Ji Won and Jung Young Joo will slowly begin to open up to one another after coincidentally becoming entangled in a series of incidents.

The producers of “School 2021” commented, “The concerns faced by students are diverse and many, from conflicts over higher education, not having a definitive dream, or hiding problems that they can’t tell other people about. Jin Ji Won and Jung Young Joo will both showcase the struggles of young people who are colliding with reality, so please give their story a lot of support and empathy.”

“School 2021” premieres on November 24 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on DramaCool.
