A star-studded new drama has joined the battle for weekend viewership ratings!
On May 4, JTBC’s “The Atypical Family”—a new fantasy romance starring Jang Ki Yong, Chun Woo Hee, and Claudia Kim—aired its first episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama premiered to an average nationwide rating of 3.3 percent.
Meanwhile, MBC’s “Chief Detective 1958” kicked off the second half of its run on its highest ratings to date for a Saturday (when its ratings are typically lower compared to Fridays). The latest episode of the “Chief Inspector” prequel scored an average nationwide rating of 9.0 percent.
SBS’s “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection” earned an average nationwide rating of 3.0 percent for the night, while MBN’s “Missing Crown Prince” held steady with a nationwide average of 2.3 percent.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” was the most-watched program of any kind to air on Saturday, scoring an average nationwide rating of 13.0 percent.
