The cast of “Cheer Up” have expressed their gratitude and final thoughts on the drama’s conclusion!
“Cheer Up” is a campus mystery rom-com about a college cheer squad whose glory days are long gone and is now on the verge of falling apart. Ahead of the drama’s finale on December 13, the main cast shared their final messages with the viewers.
Han Ji Hyun starred in the drama as Do Hae Yi, a rookie member of Yonhee University’s cheer squad Theia, who had a cheerful personality despite facing difficult circumstances at home. After successfully showing her solid acting skills through the drama, Han Ji Hyun expressed her gratitude to the viewers by saying, “I sincerely thank you for loving ‘Cheer Up’ and Do Hae Yi. Thanks to each and every viewer who kindly liked and supported me, I was able to cheer up and act with even more strength. I will show you my growth in trying to become a better actress by always working hard and pushing myself to improve more. I hope each and every one of your days is filled with good fortune. I love you.”
Bae In Hyuk, who starred as Theia’s captain Park Jung Woo, received favorable reviews for his fresh and adorable chemistry with Han Ji Hyun in the drama. Bae In Hyuk shared, “I’d like to sincerely thank the many people who supported and watched ‘Cheer Up’ until the end. My performance was lacking in many ways, but thank you for treasuring and loving Jung Woo and all the other actors.”
Kim Hyun Jin took on the role of Theia rookie Jin Seon Ho, a rich and handsome student who has always walked the elite path in life, and he often made viewers smile through his portrayal of his character’s devoted, unrequited love. The actor remarked, “I’d like to thank everyone who supported Jin Seon Ho and loved ‘Cheer Up.’ I’d also like to share my gratitude to director Han Tae Seob and Oh Joon Hyuk, as well as all the staff and fellow actors who always made the atmosphere on the filming set delightful. I’m happy my 2022 was filled with ‘Cheer Up.'”
Finally, Jang Gyuri, who played the role of vice-captain Tae Cho Hee, shared, “I would like to sincerely thank viewers for loving ‘Cheer Up’ and Tae Cho Hee and for sending us so much support. I’d hoped it would become a drama that could cheer up viewers, but thanks to the viewers’ support, I was also able to gain strength and find healing all throughout filming.
