KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” (literal translation) has shared a new glimpse of Chae Jong Hyeop in character!
“Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” is a sports romance drama about a man and a woman who play mixed doubles on a badminton works team. Park Ju Hyun stars as Park Tae Yang, the queen of smashing and a former aspiring Olympian who returns to the badminton court after three years’ absence. Chae Jong Hyeop stars as Park Tae Joon, a member of the works team who just thinks of badminton as his job.
Chae Jong Hyeop will faithfully portray Park Tae Joon, who only views badminton as a job and nothing more. Like an ordinary office worker, he likes to go home on the dot and keep his weekends free.
Previously, the drama gave a sneak peek of Park Ju Hyun as Park Tae Yang. Unlike Park Tae Yang’s passion for the sport, Park Tae Joon is bland and apathetic about it. In the newly released photos, Park Tae Joon is holding his racket and standing on the court with one hand in his pocket. He shows no desperation or fierceness to win, and he seems like he’s just waiting to clock out of work.
However, Park Tae Joon will gradually start to change after he meets Park Tae Yang. It is said that Chae Jong Hyeop is delicately depicting those changes and enriching the drama with his detailed acting.
The drama’s producers commented, “Chae Jong Hyeop thoroughly researched Park Tae Joon with extraordinary passion and showed perfect synchronization with his character. We hope you look forward to his acting as he convincingly expresses Park Tae Joon, who will draw empathy from many people as an athlete who only views sports as a job, and the way he changes bit by bit after meeting Park Tae Yang.”
“Going to You at a Speed of 493 km” will premiere sometime in April.
