BTS’s Jungkook continues to make history on the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart!
Last week, Jungkook’s new solo single “Seven” (featuring Latto) entered the Official Singles Chart at No. 3, setting a new record for the highest debut of any song by a Korean soloist.
On July 28 local time, the Official Charts (typically regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) revealed that “Seven” was now spending its second consecutive week on the Official Singles Chart at No. 13—making it the first song by a Korean soloist ever to spend its first two weeks in the top 15.
“Seven” also tied the record set by BTS’s “Dynamite” for the third highest-ranking song by a Korean artist in its second week on the Official Singles Chart. (BTS’s “Butter” ranked No. 7 in its second week on the chart, “My Universe” No. 12, and “Dynamite” No. 13.)
Additionally, “Seven” stayed strong at No. 2 on both the Official Singles Sales chart and the Official Singles Downloads Chart this week, in addition to ranking No. 19 on the Official Streaming Chart.
Congratulations to Jungkook!
