BTS’ Suga’s first official solo album is holding steady in the top 40 of the Billboard 200!
Earlier this month, Suga’s new solo album “D-DAY” debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, tying his bandmate Jimin‘s record for the highest-ranking Korean solo album in the history of the chart. Suga also became the first K-pop soloist in Billboard 200 history with two top 20 albums, as his 2020 mixtape “D-2” previously reached No. 11 on the chart.
On May 16 local time, Billboard revealed that “D-DAY” was now spending its third consecutive week on the Billboard 200 at No. 36. This achievement makes “D-DAY” the second Korean solo album ever to spend three consecutive weeks in the top 40 of the Billboard 200, following Jimin’s recent solo debut album “FACE.”
“D-DAY” also stayed strong on numerous other Billboard charts this week, taking No. 3 on the World Albums chart, No. 5 on both the Top Album Sales chart and Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 8 on the Top Rap Albums chart.
Meanwhile, Suga’s title track “Haegeum” ranked No. 8 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart and No. 142 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart in its third week.
Finally, Suga charted at No. 24 on Billboard’s Artist 100 under the name Agust D, marking his fourth week on the chart as Agust D and his fifth overall (across all stage names).
Congratulations to Suga!
