Three idol survival shows topped this week’s list of the most buzzworthy non-drama TV shows!
After losing the spot to “Peak Time” for two weeks in a row, Mnet’s popular idol audition program “Boys Planet” reclaimed No. 1 on Good Data Corporation’s list of the non-drama TV shows that generated the most buzz over the past week. The company determines each week’s rankings by analyzing data from news articles, blog posts, online communities, videos, and social media posts about non-drama TV shows that are currently airing or set to air soon.
Meanwhile, JTBC’s idol survival show “Peak Time” stayed strong at No. 2, and two of its contestants also made the list of most buzzworthy non-drama TV appearances. VANNER—who goes by the name Team 11:00 on the program—held onto their spot at No. 3, while BAE173—Team 13:00—rocketed up to No. 5 on the list.
MBC’s new idol audition program “Fantasy Boys”—the male version of its survival show “My Teen Girl”—also debuted at No. 3 on the list of TV shows.
Jeon Do Yeon took No. 1 on the list of most buzzworthy TV appearances after guesting on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” (which came in at No. 5 on the list of shows), while BTS’s Jimin ranked No. 2 for his guest appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Beat Coin” (No. 10).
Notably, Yoo Jae Suk claimed two spots in this week’s top 10, taking No. 6 for “You Quiz on the Block” and No. 7 for MBC’s “How Do You Play?”.
