The upcoming movie “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” has revealed an impressive lineup of actors who will make cameo appearances!
On September 20, the film’s production team announced that actors Park Myung Hoon, Lee Jung Eun, Cho Yi Hyun, Park Jung Min, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo would be making special appearances in the movie.
“Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” tells the story of Dr. Cheon (Kang Dong Won), a fake exorcist who doesn’t believe in ghosts but has ghost-like insight and is commissioned to work on a powerful case unlike any he has ever experienced.
Park Myung Hoon and Lee Jung Eun, who previously played a couple in the film “Parasite,” will inject humor into the story as yet another couple living in the Pyeongchang area, where Dr. Cheon carries out his fake exorcism. Cho Yi Hyun will depict their daughter who harbors doubts about Dr. Cheon. Together, the three will portray a family ensnared in Dr. Cheon and his assistant In Bae (Lee Dong Hwi)’s fake exorcism scheme.
Meanwhile, Park Jung Min and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo will captivate the audience with their exceptional on-screen chemistry. Park Jung Min will be portraying a renowned shaman possessed by a “Seonnyeo” (celestial maiden), while Jisoo, making her film debut with this cameo, will showcase her versatile acting as the celestial maiden.
Director Kim Sung Sik commented on casting Jisoo, “While looking for an actress who would suit the celestial maiden image, Jisoo came to mind. I became a fan of hers through the drama ‘Snowdrop.’ We were fortunate that her schedule aligned.”
“Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” will premiere on September 27.
