Billboard Corrects Global Excl. U.S. Chart To Include BTS’s V’s “Slow Dancing” In Top 10

BTS’s V’s “Slow Dancing” has been added back to the top 10 of Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart after fans pointed out its erroneous omission.

On September 26 local time, Billboard published its latest Global Excl. U.S. chart (which ranks songs’ global popularity based on streaming and sales activity from over 200 territories around the world, excluding the United States). However, fans soon noticed that while all of V’s B-sides from his solo debut album “Layover” had made the chart, his title track “Slow Dancing” was conspicuously missing.

After fans brought the error to Billboard’s attention, Billboard published a revised version of the chart, which now included “Slow Dancing” at No. 9.

Meanwhile, after debuting at No. 2 last week, “Layover” spent its second consecutive week on the Billboard 200 (which ranks the most popular albums in the United States) at No. 20.

“Layover” also successfully held onto its spot at No. 2 on both the Top Album Sales chart and Top Current Album Sales chart—meaning that it was the second best-selling album of the week in the United States for the second week in a row, bested only by Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts.”

Additionally, V stayed strong at No. 13 on Billboard’s Artist 100, marking his fourth overall week on the chart as a soloist.

With the belated inclusion of “Slow Dancing,” all of V’s tracks from “Layover” remained on the Global Excl. U.S. chart this week: “Slow Dancing” charted at No. 9, “Love Me Again” at No. 43, “Rainy Days” at No. 78, “For Us” at No. 142, and “Blue” at No. 190.

Meanwhile, on the Global 200 (which includes data from the United States), “Slow Dancing” came in at No. 20, “Love Me Again” at No. 86, and “Rainy Days” at No. 150.
