Oct 14, 2019
On October 14, YTN Star reported that Big Hit Entertainment sued an individual for leaking the photo that led to Jungkook’s dating rumors. The suit was filed for defamation and violation of the Personal Information Protection Act.
The photo, seemingly taken from CCTV footage, first surfaced on online communities on September 17 and sparked rumors that Jungkook was dating a tattoo artist. Big Hit Entertainment promptly issued a statement to deny the rumors. The agency also warned that they would take legal action against the disclosure of personal information and the invasion of privacy.
The person responsible for leaking the photo is reportedly an employee at a karaoke business in Geoje Island. The tattoo artist involved in the rumor will also reportedly be suing the employee.
Regarding YTN Star’s report, Big Hit relayed to Sports Kyunghyang, “We have nothing else to say that’s different from our original statement.”
Meanwhile, BTS recently returned to Korea after successfully completing their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” concert in Saudi Arabia.
