SBS’s “Cheer Up” shared new stills of Bae In Hyuk’s shocking transformation!
“Cheer Up” is a campus mystery rom-com about a college cheer squad whose glory days are long gone and is now on the verge of falling apart. Han Ji Hyun stars as Do Hae Yi, a rookie member of Yonhee University’s cheer squad Theia, who has a cheerful personality despite facing difficult circumstances at home. Bae In Hyuk stars as Theia’s oft-misunderstood captain Park Jung Woo, who is a firm stickler for the rules but is also a romantic at heart, while Kim Hyun Jin plays fellow rookie Jin Seon Ho, a rich and handsome student who has always walked the elite path in life.
In the last broadcast, Park Jung Woo finally realized his feelings for Do Hae Yi, making a surprise confession to Do Hae Yi while she was sleeping.
The newly released stills capture Park Jung Woo’s unexpected new look as he poses confidently with his hair partially tied up, wearing red sunglasses, a flower scarf, and matching flower pants. The “stylish” transformation comes off as a rather refreshing look since it is the opposite of what one would expect from charismatic leader Park Jung Woo.
In another still, Park Jung Woo is getting his cheeks pinched by the neighborhood ladies, showcasing how well-loved he is by the adults. Known as the Jagalchi prince back at his hometown, Park Jung Woo will impress with his unlikely charm. Finally, another still shows the entirety of the Theia squad in similar countryside attire, raising anticipation for what will happen in the upcoming episode.
The production team teased, “In episode 10, leader Park Jung Woo and cheering squad Theia will head down to his hometown Busan. During this trip, Do Hae Yi, Park Jung Woo, and Jin Sun Ho (Kim Hyun Jin) will face a crucial turning point in their love triangle, so please watch out for the unforgettable memories of their night together.”
The next episode of “Cheer Up” will air on November 14 at 10 p.m. KST.
