ASTRO's Sanha, OH MY GIRL's Arin, Yoo Jung Hoo, And Chuu Confirmed To Star In New Rom-Com Drama

ASTRO’s Sanha, OH MY GIRL’s Arin, Yoo Jung Hoo, and Chuu have been confirmed to star in a new drama!

On August 2, upcoming drama “My Girlfriend Is a Tough Guy” (literal title) revealed the main cast lineup including Sanha, Arin, Yoo Jung Hoo, and Chuu.

Based on a webtoon, “My Girlfriend Is a Tough Guy” is a romantic comedy that follows the story of Yoon Jae, whose girlfriend unexpectedly transforms into a man.

Sanha will play Park Yoon Jae, a diligent astronomy student at Yeonhee University who wakes up one day to find his girlfriend has turned into a man. Sanha, who made a successful acting debut in the 2015 web drama “To Be Continued,” has showcased his acting skills through various projects including the dramas “Soul Plate,” “Love Formula 11M,” “Your Playlist,” and “Crazy Love.” Sanha is expected to smoothly portray Park Yoon Jae, who faces emotional ups and downs, solidifying his position as the next leading actor in rom-com dramas.

Arin, who has demonstrated stable acting skills in various dramas including “Alchemy of Souls,” “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow,” and “O’PENING 2023: Summer, Love Machine, Blues,” takes on the female lead role in “My Girlfriend is a Tough Guy.” Arin will portray Park Yoon Jae’s girlfriend Kim Ji Eun, who suddenly transforms into a handsome man due to her family’s genetic trait. Arin is expected to vividly depict her character’s emotional ups and downs.

Yoo Jung Hoo will transforms into Kim Ji Hoon, the male version of Kim Ji Eun who suddenly transforms into a man and faces major crises in her life and relationships with the people around her including Park Yoon Jae. Yoo Jung Hoo, who has been actively appearing in various web dramas including “Bad Girlfriend,” “New Love Playlist,” and “BITCH X RICH” as well as the drama “Durian’s Affair,” is drawing attention for how he will portray the handsome Kim Ji Hoon with Kim Ji Eun’s inner self.

Chuu will star as Kang Min Joo, a popular girl at Yeonhee University who has a crush on Park Yoon Jae. Chuu will immerse herself in the character Kang Min Joo and will get entangled deeply with Park Yoon Jae, Kim Ji Eun, and Kim Ji Hoon, heightening the anticipation for the chemistry between the four cast members.
