tvN’s “Alchemy of Souls” has returned on a high note!
On August 20, “Alchemy of Souls” resumed airing new episodes after a one-week hiatus. According to Nielsen Korea, the fantasy romance drama returned to its all-time high of 7.6 percent for its latest episode, taking first place in its time slot across all channels—including public broadcast networks.
“Alchemy of Souls” also continued its nine-week streak at first place in its time slot among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it earned a nationwide average of 3.6 percent.
Meanwhile, MBC’s “Big Mouth” also remained the most-watched drama in its own time slot with an average nationwide rating of 10.3 percent.
SBS’s “Today’s Webtoon,” which airs in the same time slot as “Big Mouth,” dipped to an average nationwide rating of 2.2 percent for the night. TV Chosun’s “Becoming Witch” fell to an all-time low of 1.3 percent, while JTBC’s “The Good Detective 2” rose to a nationwide average of 5.0 percent.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “It’s Beautiful Now” achieved its highest Saturday ratings to date with an average nationwide rating of 26.5 percent, making it the most-watched program to air on any channel the entire day.
