JTBC’s upcoming drama “Just One Person” (literal title) shared a sneak peek of Ahn Eun Jin in character!
“Just One Person” is an emotional romance drama about three terminally ill women who meet at a hospice. They decide that before they die, they want to take down one bad guy before they go – but in their attempt to take down “just one person,” they wind up meeting the most valuable person of their lives.
Ahn Eun Jin stars as Pyo In Sook, a stubborn and insensitive woman who is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Pyo In Sook never had an easy life. Her parents divorced when she was young, so she was raised by her grandmother Yook Sung Ja (Go Doo Shim). Her mother who promised to see her never came, and her father left to fulfill his dream of becoming a singer. Pyo In Sook tried endlessly to find a proper job, but she ended up working a professional scrubber who scrubs down bathers in a public bathhouse. The news of her terminal illness will become the straw that broke the camel’s back.
In her previous work “Hospital Playlist 2,” Ahn Eun Jin portrayed a bright and cheerful character. So viewers are especially looking forward to her transformation into a character with a darker side.
The newly released stills shed a light into Pyo In Sook’s turbulent life. She looks exhausted at her workplace, but her face is grim with determination. She’s not the type to slack off, and she does all kinds of odd jobs at the bathhouse, including scrubbing her clients and cleaning the walls.
The drama’s producers shared, “In this drama, Ahn Eun Jin is the actress who attempted the most dramatic transformation in both appearances and acting. She is 200 percent immersed in her character Pyo In Sook, who has endured [life] by building up a wall so that she won’t be hurt by reality that has been particularly cold to her. Please show a lot of interest and anticipation in the first episode of ‘Just One Person’ to see what Pyo In Sook’s life is like and what kind of stories the drama will unveil.”
“Just One Person” will premiere on December 20 at 11 p.m. KST.
