Based on the next webtoon of the same name, 'Itaewon Class' is about a "hip-hop" rebellion of young people who are united in an unreasonable world, stubbornness and courage. On a small street in Itaewon, which seems to have compressed the world, their start-up myths unfold, in which they pursue freedom with their own values.
Yoo Jae-myung, who plays Jang Dae-hee, the chairman of the food industry conglomerate "Janga," during the play, shows a unique change in acting. Jang Dae-hee, who overcame his turbulent childhood and rose to prominence as a monster in the restaurant industry, is the owner of a strong "Jabiris" charisma that can make everyone cringe with a word. Park Se-rooy (Park Seo-joon), who was involved in an accident of his son in the past, will engage in a heated confrontation and create tension that rises from the center of the play.
Yoo Jae-myung has led the drama as a leading actor through tvN dramas "The Forest of Secrets" and JTBC "Life." He played the lead character Gi Chun-ho in the tvN drama "Self-Sufficiency," demonstrating the power of "believing and watching actors" by expressing his determination of the violent crime class leader in a great deal. In his new lead role,'Itaewon Class' Yoo Jae-myung's character is expected to produce different charisma and strong force, signaling the birth of a new all-time character that will be created with his signature acting.
