The Thirsty Deer employees are gradually warming up to Han Sun Hwa in JTBC’s “My Sweet Mobster”!
“My Sweet Mobster” is a romance drama with surprising twists starring Um Tae Goo as Seo Ji Hwan, a man who has overcome his troubled past, and Han Sun Hwa as Go Eun Ha, a kids’ content creator.
Adding color to the drama are the Thirsty Deer employees: Joo Il Young (Kim Hyun Jin), Kwak Jae Soo (Yang Hyun Min), Yang Hong Ki (Moon Dong Hyuk), Jung Man Ho (Lee Yoo Joon), and Lee Dong Hee (Jaechan). Here’s a look at how the relationship between Go Eun Ha and the Thirsty Deer employees has evolved from initial hostility to her becoming their cherished sister-in-law.
When Seo Ji Hwan and Go Eun Ha first met, the Thirsty Deer employees found Go Eun Ha highly suspicious. Not only was she seen at the club of Seo Ji Hwan’s nemesis Go Yang Hee (played by Im Chul Soo), but she even handcuffed Seo Ji Hwan. Additionally, Go Eun Ha accidentally hit Seo Ji Hwan’s chest with a mop while cleaning, causing him to fall down the stairs. This incident made the Thirsty Deer employees resentful towards her.
Before they could clear up these misunderstandings, Go Eun Ha’s former agency, Macaron Soft, uploaded a video that painted the Thirsty Deer employees as villains without her consent, deepening the rift. Although Go Eun Ha later released the original video to clarify the misunderstanding, the strained relationship did not easily improve.
However, their relationship took a new turn when Go Eun Ha, who had nowhere to go after her contract with her former agency was terminated, accepted Seo Ji Hwan’s offer to become a tutor for the Thirsty Deer employees. Kwak Jae Soo, who used to mock her, started caring for her like a big brother despite their bickering. Jung Man Ho also followed Go Eun Ha’s lessons passionately, respectfully calling her sister-in-law.
Yang Hong Ki was the first to form a sibling-like bond with Go Eun Ha by sharing his family history with her. Lee Dong Hee, on the other hand, showed his thoughtful side by bringing her a flower every day. As they spent more time together, they began to see each other as family.
In Episode 12, Go Eun Ha helped the Thirsty Deer employees, who had long supported the orphanage but were afraid to appear in front of the children due to their intimidating looks, get closer to the kids and blend in with society. Seeing the children laugh instead of cry upon meeting them, the employees hugged each other in joy, causing an outburst of laughter.
The Thirsty Deer employees, who received praise for the first time thanks to Go Eun Ha’s help, also actively supported the relationship between Go Eun Ha and Seo Ji Hwan. When Seo Ji Hwan tried to distance himself from Go Eun Ha, the Thirsty Deer members left him out and comforted her instead. Kwak Jae Soo also brought smiles to viewers’ faces when he asked the young employees to come home late when Seo Ji Hwan and Go Eun Ha were alone.
The next episode of “My Sweet Mobster” airs on July 24 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
