Knight Flower (2024) K Drama Episode 12 (Final Episode)

Feb 27, 2024

Episode 12 of Knight Flower begins with Pil telling Su-ho that he killed Yeo-hwa’s brother, Soong-ho a year later on the orders of Seok. At the palace, Lady Oh instantly dies and Yeo-hwa is a wreck as she laments her brother. Everyone is dismissed and Seok mocks the King as Lady Oh, the only one who could have testified publicly is now dead.

A flashback shows why Seok killed the previous king. The previous King had wanted to abolish the class system and let every man have a chance to rise up. But this threatened the nobles and the scholars’ superiority.

Su-ho meets with Yeo-hwa and reveals that Pil has confirmed Seok’s involvement. Angered, she confronts Pil herself who reveals that Soong-ho had returned to the city after a year to see his sister.

How is Seok Ji-seong taken down?

With no reason to live now, she attacks Seok on his way home. Su-ho stops her and promises to take down Seok properly and legally. As they look at the sword Soong-ho left her, she finds two letters in the scabbard. The first letter is him apologising to her. The second is from the late king with his seal mentioning how Seok poisoned him for threatening the status quo.

They create a new plan. Su-ho pretends to be the Masked Man and fake kills Pil. In reality, Yoon-hak sells Pil and Man-sik to a butcher. Bi-chan then pretends to be the Masked Man, shows Su-ho the late king’s letter and then lets Seok’s man steal it.

This has Seok believing that there are no more loose ends. He brings Prince Ansan to threaten the King and show him how replaceable he is. Unfortunately for him, Yoon-hak invites all the ministers, as well as Yeo-hwa and Su-ho to court to testify against Seok. Yeo-hwa also has the real letter of the late king which she shows to the ministers.

She also lets Seok know that she is the Masked Man which means she could have killed him but she was merciful. Seok is arrested but he still stands by his decision. He is demoted and exiled but on Yeo-hwa’s request, Seok’s family is left alone as they are innocent.

Does Yeo-hwa stay married to Seok Jeong?

Now onto Yeo-hwa’s status. Everyone is upset that she will go back to her lowly status if she becomes a divorcee. Su-ho tries to be supportive but Yeo-hwa tells him to move on just as she plans to.

However, Ggotnim comes up with a plan – since the couple never saw each other during the marriage ceremony, are they really married? Jeong creates a scene and claims he is already married to someone in Qing and he was never present when Seok got him married to Yeo-hwa.

He cannot have two wives so he needs to annul his marriage to Yeo-hwa. The King plays along and agrees. Everyone rejoices but it is short as Yeo-hwa still disappears. Before leaving, she thanks Jeong for helping her and has a tearful reunion with Lady Yoo who apologises to her.

How does Knight Flower end?

A year later, Yoon-hak is teaching Ggotnim how to read and write. Yeon-sun is Myungdo’s financier. Yoon-hak hangs out with her every day as she searches for a house to buy. He takes her to his house and asks her to move in.

Bi-chan asks Hwang for Yi-kyung’s hand in marriage. However, she refuses as she wants to continue being his girlfriend rather than a wife. Hwang is the Minister of War while Su-ho is the commander. He is told about a human trafficking ring and he rushes off to investigate. Jeong runs a stall in Myungdo and to bring customers, he tells the tale of Yeo-hwa.

As for her, Yeo-hwa returns after a year and finds the kidnappers taking a woman. Su-ho suddenly arrives and everyone scatters. He of course catches her and they flirt. At the end of Knight Flower Episode 12, he leans in for a kiss.

The Episode Review

And with that, this hilarious K-drama comes to an end. Knight Flower Episode 12 neatly wraps up all the loose ends and gives us a happy ending. Most of the characters get their redemption arc such as Lady Yoo and Jeong. Things are looking up for Ggotnim, Yeon-sun and Jang. Our secondary couples too get their happily ever after.

As for Yeo-hwa leaving, it makes for a mini-conflict which has become a trope for all K-drama finales. After being a mourning sister, widow and a Masked Hero, she now hopes to be herself and for that, she needs to see the world which was hidden from her for 15 years. But well, this is a rom-com so it all ends well as she makes her return in a hilarious manner and reunites with Su-ho.
